  2. Thanks, Heart!

I’ve bookmarked their website and will be checking back to see how things develop.

Crossing many a finger here. πŸ™‚

  4. Yeah, it’s about time, eh? πŸ˜›

I’m getting kind of tired of it. 😐

Might be nice to work the kinks out ….

  5. Heart are you ever going to “untie” those cultural and radical feminists?

    Posted by Pony | January 12, 2007, 9:21 pm
  6. Huh. You probly think that’s a typo, usually it is, I just think it’s funny and kind of double entendre like and Mary Daly speakish. πŸ™‚

I would like to to see *both* of these time-honored feminisms untethered, though, free, and “untied” from the relentless attacks on them in the form of books, essays, random uneducated opinions and blog posts, and the never-endingly destructive posts of a certain person who is neither a cultural or radical feminist, doesn’t understand either, but has enlisted the latter in her own personal projects of various kinds.

I should stop, got the dog by the tail, going on down shit creek is rapidly approaching…

  9. I wanna go so bad!! We shall see…
I’ve just started getting into Sonia Johnson’s books…after reading some of her words in one of your OOB articles, Heart! I read and loved “Wildfire,” and now I’m in the middle of the “going out of our minds” one!!

  10. Oh, britta! I hope you can go! And of *course* you would LOVE Sonia Johnson. I have been searching for her for 10 years and finally learned at Fest last year where she was. I can’t tell you how happy I am to hear she’s going to be speaking, not to mention all the others, Mary Daly, Paula Gunn Allen, Alix Dobkin, Cherrie Moraga, Afia Walking Tree. I have to be there. Have to.

  11. Mary Daly *and* Sonia Johnson!!! Why don’t I live in a country with such awesome feminists? Stupid Australia being so bloody far away from everywhere and anywhere.

  12. Hey, allecto, then again, you have Sheila Jeffreys! If only we could bring her and you on over! Maybe we can. πŸ™‚

  13. Admittedly, a dumb question: where did the term “cultural feminist” come from, and is it supposed to be a good thing or a putdown? It is not always the same as (or co-existent with) “radical feminist”, right?

Why do some people use the terms as interchangable?

You might want to blog on this, might be a good discussion. I have wanted to know for a long time, and I can’t find unbiased (feminist) answers . Thanks.
