Gail Dines

Robert Wosnitzer, Ana Bridges, and Michelle Chang:

All videos are under “Feminist Anti-Pornography Conference” as owner/creator.

  1. Just a quick note that the clever suggestion of having people view and rate the videos comes from Robert Wosnitzer (who did all the work of getting these videos online), not me. 🙂

  2. Thanks, Rebecca, for all the work both of you, all of you, have done. Very inspiring.

  3. We’re all busy listening, transcribing, etc. So that’s why this thread isn’t chokablok with responses.

    Thanks Rebecca! {waving}

  4. This is unrelated, but I’m a regular reader and don’t have anywhere to vent or share something like this myself, and, well, I find this maddening and pretty telling.

    I just read an article on the BBC news website about the sale/auction of a prayer book previously owned by Hawley Crippen, a doctor who murdered his wife in the early twentieth century. Crippen’s wife was said to be, I quote, from other sources, an “overbearing woman” and this has apparently earned him sympathy from an “expert” in historical documents associated with the auction. Mr Westwood-Brookes, of Mullock Madeley, told the BBC he felt sorry for the doctor as his crime “would receive a lesser sentence today” (he was hanged), and besides, he had an “appalling wife” and divorce may not have been an option. The BBC even highlight the latter quote just to remind us she probably deserved it.
