I thought my search engine report for yesterday was interesting. On your dashboard, WordPress lists the top 10 search terms people used which ended them up at your blog (as opposed to people intentionally visiting your blog.)
|which presidential candidate is right f||10|
|man kills and cooks girlfriend||8|
|which candidate are you most like||8|
|which candidate is most like me||7|
|britney spears crotch||7|
|mens ANTI WOMAN SITES SHUT DOWN||7|
|which candidate am i most like||6|
It’s interesting the number of people who typed in some version of “which candidate is most like me.” I wonder why there were seven searches for “mens ANTI WOMAN SITES SHUT DOWN” — where’d that come from? Maybe some cadre of boys or men with too much time on their hands hoping to prove the existence of a cabal of powerful feminists dedicated to shutting down “mens ANTI WOMEN SITES”. I doubt a day has gone by since December of last year that at least a few pervs did not end up at my site because they were hoping to get a look at Britney Spears crotch. And of course, not a day goes by without hundreds of men doing searches on the word “rape.”
As to “man kills and cooks girlfriend,” I’ve had tons of searches on that term recently, leading me to believe yet ANOTHER man has killed and cooked his girlfriend. It’s interesting, I clicked on some of the incoming links some days back to see where these inquiries were coming from and they were coming from CNN. I came across a comments thread there where a guy was really upset by headlines which read, “MAN KILLS AND COOKS GIRLFRIEND,” and perhaps that inspired the search. I’m sure he’d prefer a passive voice headline, something like, “Spouse Killed and Cooked,” so he could be spared the trauma of being reminded that it’s men who do this kind of thing, and they do it to women.
“Alex Coberly” is this guy.
