I Support and Stand in Solidarity with Cathy Brennan

Cathy Brennan, a lesbian, was attacked at the New York City Dyke March this past weekend by a group of trans women and their supporters, one of whom was an organizer of the march.  Cathy was one woman and she was targeted by a group of people, one ringleader of which acknowledges she “lost it.”  Cathy used her one voice to speak her own truth and assaulted nobody.

This is despicable behavior, unconscionable and disgusting.  To be silent about it when speaking up is possible, to ignore it, to fail to acknowledge it, would be wrong.  Hence, this post.

  5. This is completely inappropriate behavior and it well deserves the exposure to light that you and other womyn give it, Heart. Thanks for being a beacon.

  6. I’m new to this trans-woman vs lesbian thing. It seems to me, that the trans are very violent, very belligerant, very intolerant.

I’m glad that Cathy stood her ground.

  7. Behavior like this, by trans leaders, no less, makes me wonder how differently transwomen in general feel about lesbians as opposed to how men in general feel about lesbians. One might think transwomen would be more respectful than men of lesbians, but it seems they want to burn their bridges.

  8. Behavior like that makes me wonder why any sane intersex person would want to associate with violent, extremist trans people. It’s why I think Intersex people should stay away from trans people
